Mary Burns holds a BA in English from Morehead State University. As a former coach, she provides interesting technical and tactical insight for the internationally beloved game of soccer. She holds a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and has been on the staff of high school state champions. Mary Burns seeks to provide tactical and technical analysis of soccer--focusing primarily on the women's game. She feels that their is a valid need for news and analysis of the women's game that is not "dumbed down."
Ms. Burns has also been published in creative nonfiction, poetry, and personal editorials. She loves to tell the story of how she once beat Mia Hamm one v one at a soccer camp--but will also point out that Mia knocked her hard to the ground in her next attempt.
