Pre-Match notes:
  • 9th place USV Jena battles 10th place Lok Leipzig. Both teams have only one match—Jena higher in standings because of one draw.  Leipzig has scored 5 goals this season compared to Jena’s miserable two. However, Jena has not conceded as many goals (3 less; 18—21)
  •   Essen-Schonebeck could have a difficult time against Hamburger SV.  Just how good is Essen?
  •   Bottom teams, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Bad Neuenahr will probably remain as the bottom two teams after this week.  Will be interesting to see if Okoyino da Mbabi can be effective against Duisburg.  Although this young star has only scored one goal this season in the Bundesliga, last weekend she scored three during Bad Neuenahr’s DFB Pokal match
  •   What will attendance number’s look like? Difficult to compare numbers due to numerous free tickets given in the regular NCAA Women’s Soccer home games—but my question for the weekend is if the NCAA women’s Soccer conference tournament matches will have a higher attendance than the Frauen Bundesliga.
